Noetic-Biotic: An Interplay of the Noosphere and Biosphere
I wish to develop this blog in a manner that generates an exchange of ideas and opinions regarding the realm of noetic phenomena (noosphere). There is a rapidly growing literature regarding the nature of human life from a biological point of view and the relationship of body to mind.
For many generations scholars have argued about the nature of the human mind and whether or not mind is reducible to biotics. This website is dedicated to the idea that the realm of mind and culture constitutes a set of phenomena which are completely distinguishable from brain functions per se.
Additionally, argument revolves around mind and culture in terms of this realm being restricted to human beings or more widely shared with other life forms. Rupert Sheldrake argues extensively that the noetic realm extends to other life forms. The 5 Fundamental Realms of Reality document recommends a number of books which explore the broader aspect of the noosphere and the relation of the noosphere to the biosphere.
This website will attempt to explore current understanding of the relationships between noosphere and biosphere, and the insights generated for understanding the human quest.
